To access the online quizzes and individual grades, go to the Augustana website (http://www.augie.edu), click on the Current Students link, then click on WebCT. [Click here to go to WebCT directly.] If you are in multiple courses that use WebCT, you will need to select the PSYC 125 Life-span Human Development link. You will login in with your Novell network login name; your Augie ID number is your default password (although you should change this to something else the first time you log in).

To take a quiz, click on the Chapter Quizzes link from the class homepage. Select the chapter quiz that you will take. WebCT will provide you with instructions for taking the quiz and troubleshooting problems with various web browsers. To begin the quiz, click the Begin Quiz button. You will have 3 minutes to complete the quiz once you have clicked this button. Be sure that you are prepared to take the quiz before you start. For the quiz itself, you will see a set of multiple-choice questions. Each question will have several options; click the round button next to the option that is your answer. -After you have clicked a button, you must save the answer in order for it to be graded. You may change your answer at any time during the quiz, but remember to resave any changes. Once you have answered and saved all questions, click the Finish button to submit the quiz. The quiz may be graded once the access period is over (up to class time on the first day the reading is due). You may check your quiz performance at any time after that by going to Chapter Quizzes, then clicking on the View Scores button for the quiz. To grade the quiz (if it has not been graded already), click on the 1 in the Attempts column.-

If you have any questions or problems taking these quizzes, please contact the instructor.

Review of important points:

--Note that you may take a quiz up to the beginning of class (1:00 p.m.) on the day the reading is due. You will not be allowed to take the quiz at any time after that, yielding a score of zero for that chapter.

--You will have one attempt to take the quiz, and three minutes to complete it.

--You may grade the quiz and see your score after the availability period is over.
