Exams with an L designation were given in a special section of CHEM 120 designed for students with little or no background in Chemistry.  This section covers the same material as other sections but meets an extra day a week.  In the sections taught by Dr. Weisshaar, there have been five exams instead of four, so each exam covers a little less material than corresponding exams in other sections.
